Most of these items were mass produced, but Olga Dmitrievna, Yulya, Zhenya, and Viola, only 50,000 were made of each, making them rarer than the others. The 2 adults and Yulya were sold only at CVS and Spencer Gifts for $12-99-$24.99 The pioneers were sold at multiple stores for anywhere between $9.99-19.99 The reason this was removed was due to time restraints, however, the prototypes of Alisa, Zhenya, and Lena were accidently shipped to a CVS store. The prototypes had a 3rd setting, where they played music from the virtual novel, each one would have played 6 songs: 5 unique to that pioneer, and this one: Viola- Bad Case of Loving You - Dear Future Husband Zhenya- Her own version of "Superfreak"- Me, Myself, and I Olga Dmitrievna- As the Caissons go Rolling Along - Anaconda Yulya- Stray Cat Strut - Her own version of "Zoot Suit Riot"

EVERLASTING SUMMER SETTINGS SERIES

United States: Buena Vista Pictures.Everlasting Summer is a series made in 2014 and remade in mid 2016, based off the virtual novel that was released in 2013. It is at their house that Winnie learns the true nature of the spring and secret the Tucks have been living with.īabbitt, N. It is described as a very cluttered and lived in home. Their house is a sanctuary, where they can talk and be themselves without fear of being heard. The Tucks have a cabin as a house, way outside of town. Their rather rich and quite life is what drives Winnie out into the woods, where she met Jesse Tuck at the spring. The Fosters have a very nice house, sitting on a large piece of property that holds the spring. Throughout the story, the spring is the where her new adventure and troubling choices begin. The spring in the woods on the Fosters’ property is a magical beginning for the Tucks and for Winnie, when she discovers Jesse drinking from it one late summer day.

The woods is the first place one truly sees Babbitt’s beloved aspect of fantasy in a seemingly ordinary story. The woods are described with a vibrancy of colors, sounds, and wildlife fitting for a land that contained the water of everlasting life. The woods on the Fosters’ property is where the Tucks’ story truly began eighty-seven years before Winnie wandered out with impatient thoughts of growing up and running away. Then there is the town of Treegap, where the story begins and concludes. Then there are the two homes of the Tucks’ and the Fosters’. There is the main focus of the story, being the woods around Winnie’s house that contains the pond with everlasting life giving water. There are four major settings for the story. They return in 1950, where there are paved roads and cars for transportation and a completely built up town with businesses and a booming population, rather than the rural village of the 1880s. In the 1880s, America was beginning to slowly transition to a more civilized society, with less cowboys and more inventions, like the telephone (America’s Best History).Īt the end of the story, the Tucks come back to Treegap when the time in America has completely changed society. With the settings going from a woods with a mystical spring to the small rural town of Treegap, New Hampshire, it is easy to see how the story takes places on the brink of real change in America. While no date is given right away, the description of Winnie’s dress and shoes tells the style and era the book begins in.
